Frequently asked questions
How many bricks are in a square metre?
For a standard 215×65 mm brick with a 10 mm joint, about 60 per square metre for a single skin. The tool recalculates for any brick size.
What is single vs double skin?
A single (half-brick) skin is one brick thick; a double skin is a full brick thick and needs roughly twice as many bricks.
Why include waste?
Bricks get cut and broken, so a 5–10% allowance helps avoid running short.
